Newbies to the Outer Banks - ideas

Hi everyone,

As Jersey shore raised, I%26#39;m looking for a change. We want to head to the Outer Banks (hubby, me and 2 girls 8 and 11). We love the ocean, but also want a pool. Not ready to try renting a house yet, until we check things out.

Can anyone recommend a ';reasonable'; hotel that would let us experience OB the right way?

Nags Head area sounds like a good area to stay for the first time . I always stay at Surf Side it is in a good location and has reasonable prices.
