Bi-Plane Flight/Air Tour

Coming to OBX first week of May, 4 more days!

We are staying in Nags Head first 3 nights, then down to Ocracoke for last 4 nights.

Were considering a plane flight near Nags Head and are intrigued by the Bi-Plane tours.

Wonder if anyone has info on the Bi Plane tours or any other air tours. Are they worth the $ and time?

Bi-Plane Flight/Air Tour

As a pilot I have flown all over the OBX in my plane. I have been in a biplane but never in Scott%26#39;s Waco. I see it fly over the house on his tour and as long as it is a clear day with blue skies you will have a beautiful ride. There will be two of you in the front seat or he will charge you for 2 (as I recall) and that is, or was, $75. You can get the other air tour planes too, they are 4 seat Cessna 172%26#39;s if you don%26#39;t want the wind in your hair and you want to go 110 mph as opposed to 85mph. You should try a biplane if you like to fly. You will be amazed how tiny our sliver of sand is here. Both originate out of the airport over in Manteo and just hanging around there watching airplanes come and go is fun. If they are towing the banners watching them pick up and drop those banners is interesting to see.
