We%26#39;ll be staying in Avon for a week in May and would like recommendations for ';nicer'; restaurants. We don%26#39;t mind driving and making a day trip out of it. Any kind of food is fine...thanks!

In my opinion you will have to leave Avon to find a really upscale restaurant. The closest to you will be Owens in Nags Head. There are some very nice ones all over the banks but Owens, Blue Point (Duck), Left Bank (Sanderling) are the top of the line ones.

Thanks for the recommendations! Blue Point and Left Bank look terrific; I think we%26#39;ll drive to Duck one day and have dinner at Blue Point.

for finer dining than your usual OBX come-as-you-are restaurants.
