Cans/Bottles on the Beach? Cabs?

We will be in Duck on Sunday for a week. I%26#39;ve looked up a fair amount of info. regarding beach rules and have yet to find any regulations regarding cans or bottles. Does anyone know if they are prohibited on the beach? If so, we%26#39;ll bring cups.

Also, are there cabs in the area? We are 4 couples in our late 20s early 30s that want to be responsible about drinking and driving. If there are not cabs, we will take turns being DD.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Cans are ok, glass is discouraged but I doubt they would toss you in jail.

Cabs are all over, you just call one. Take a look in the phone book once you get here and get a number or two - listed under Taxi. Beach cab, Atlantic taxi, Coastal cab are the 2 I see most.

Cool Duck...we love it there. I am still $1,000,000 short of being a millionaire and if I was, we would have a second home there.

Agreed about plastic - we always take plastic water bottles down to the beach. I hate seeing soda and water bottles left behind...usually it tends to be more from the nite peeps who hang on the beach

Thanks for the help guys! We are first timers and really looking forward to the stay.
