Surf Condo - Info??

I am considering booking a condo at the %26#39;Surf Condo%26#39; in Surf City. I am familiar with Surf City in general, having stayed at the St. Regis on North Topsail Beach on two previous occassions.

Can anyone tell me anything about the Surf Condo? The units I%26#39;ve looked at online look nice and I see the place is right up the beach from the pier in Surf City. Our primary complaint with the St. Regis was how long it took to get to dining (we have 3 small kids) and we wouldn%26#39;t have this problem by staying in Surf City.

Any information would be appreciated.

Surf Condo - Info??

It is older, and no elevators. I have never stayed there, but we were looking to buy a condo and looked at several. It depends on what you are looking for. All were clean and the complex is on the ocean, but some are quite far to walk from the condo to the beach.

Did you like the Regis? I am not a fan of that complex, but I heard they have made improvements.

My favorites are Topsail Dunes (building 3), and Shipwatch.

Surf Condo - Info??

Thanks for the info. We are just trying to find a good deal on a condo that is on the ocean and has a decent pool. I don%26#39;t recall the Surf Condo on our 2 trips to Topsail, but looking at it on Google Earth, I know exatcly where it sets. The big thing that I like about it is how close it is to all the Surf City restaurants.

We stayed at the St. Regis in 2001 and really liked it. The complex did feel a bit aged then, but it didn%26#39;t bother us. (When we made that trip, we had only one child and she was only 5 months old).

We returned in 2004 and the place seemed to have REALLY aged in 3 short years. The elevator that we used was always dirty, our unit had cheap furniture and our patio door was knocked off the track. The fact that we now had a 3 year old and a 1 year old made the drive to eat a bit of a hassle.

I am interested in Topsail Dunes, but I know the issue with the drive will be the same (we now have a third child in a mix, so they will be 7, 5 and 3 when we go this summer).

I%26#39;m also starting to look into Atlantic Beach. It looks like a pretty nice place also.

We have rented through Century 21 at topsail for this summer. I have never stayed there so I can%26#39;t help you with that. But what I can tell you is that Century 21 had the cheapest rates for their rentals. I have talked with them on many occasions with questions. They have been wonderful.Hopefully this helps with which company to go through.

There%26#39;s a local discount club (Action Get A Way Club) that you can sign up for online. It%26#39;s through Century 21 Action and its FREE. You can look at the coupons/discounts offered online at www.century21topsail.com. Register there and then you%26#39;ll be sent a welcome packet with coupons and your discount card. In there there%26#39;s a 20% off coupon to Thomas%26#39; Seafood ... along with several other nice resturants on the island!

hello i have stayed at surf condos many times. its great for familys. direct beach access and the pool is nice. cheap and close to everything but you still feel miles away from it all. my fav condo is 813 but not really kid friendly. there are condos with 2 story floor plans and loft style layouts. your allowed 2 parking spaces and the bath rooms are nicely laid out. the kids have there own ';hide away'; soem condos have tvs and curtins for the bunnk beds

we stayed at surf condo last summer and loved it, We rented room 123 which is a one bedroom, but it has a set of bunkbeds in the hall. We were thrilled with the room. no complaints. It is so close to the beach and sitting out on the deck is excellent. We raved about it so much that this year both of our daughters and grandson want to go. So we are reserving a 2 bedroom this year. Look for the rooms with either the first number being either a 1 or and 8 these are the closest to the the ocean. They cost alittle more, but being right on the ocean is well worth the extra money. Enjoy and have a wonderful vacation.
