Vacation Rental Reviews

Let%26#39;s hear about your rental. Whether it is a small 1 bdroom beach cottage, a 16 bdroom home, condo, or hotel room. Try to add as much detail as possible about the rental to help other vacationers.

Did you find it on the web., realtor, a friend or family, newspaper? Would you recommend it to a friend? An enemy? lol

Location?

What was included in the cost? Any extra? Put the price you paid if you wish.

Let%26#39;s get the word out there on these rentals, the great, the good, the bad and the ugly! There are so many and so hard to choose.

Vacation Rental Reviews

There is a new search option on TA. On the left of the screen three places down is a place to review vacation rentals. You can also post you own review after your visit! I hope this will help many of the confused and misinformed.

Vacation Rental Reviews

Don%26#39;t forget to post your reviews!!

Last year we rented from Carolina Designs, #464, Dream Awhile. The house was more beautiful in person than we could have imagined. Everything you could possible need or want was in the house. Everthing was spotless, I even used the dishes LOL. There was so much room no one got in each others way. The from the rec room, and movie room, to the bedrooms. I cannot wait to go back again next year with the family again. We had trouble with the internet, called Carolina Design%26#39;s and someone was at the house within the hour. I cannot say enough about Carolina Designs and this house. This year we will be staying at First Flight Retreat. I know it won%26#39;t compare to the house, but hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

Am I looking at the right thing? I see the listing of vacation rentals but not a space in which to review them.

I don%26#39;t see a place to review them either. They are revamping this website, so it might be something you see in the future.

For now, if you want to review your vacation rental, feel free to do so right here in the forums.

There use to be a place that you could read other reviews and add your own, it has changed. Please feel free to write a review on your own, looking forward to seeing some reviews!

What a great idea! The places to stay always look perfect on the website..and it will be nice to hear from other who have actually stayed in the home/condo/townhome.

The first year we went to the ';Sugar Shak'; through Ward Realty. The house was fantastic. It was clean and I also even used the dishes! It was exactly what it looked like in the pictures. What I didn%26#39;t know was how great the location was! We were on Sunrise court. We had the beach to ourselves..there were two or three house to our right and small campground to our left..but no one used the beach from there at the time. We went the last week in June%26lt;I think %26gt; . We split the home with another family..so it was fairly reasonable.

The next year we couldn%26#39;t get that particular property , so we rented ';The Jewel of The Isle'; through Ward again. It was also a very nice house. It was a little bit more of a busier area%26lt;since I was used to The Sugar Shak%26gt;..but again exactly what was on the website and very very clean.

Last year, we had to go on our own. We didn%26#39;t have the other family with us and we decided at the last minute. We were able to get ';Dream Catcher'; through Access Realty. We got lucky that the owner dropped her week and we were able to rent it. It was a gorgeous home. The windows were incredible. It was three bedrooms. It had to bunk beds and a tv in one room which was perfect for my three kids. The only complaint I had was that it wasn%26#39;t as clean. The house smelled like fish when we got there. Like someone had just gutted one. And the dishes weren%26#39;t very clean. The downstairs bathroom was dirty. I wasn%26#39;t too happy with that and that is from someone who isn%26#39;t a clean freak. I ended up cleaning it myself and was able to enjoy the vacation.

This year we are renting ';Sea-sun'; for the first time through Topsail Realty. I have no idea what to expect from house or the real estate company since I haven%26#39;t used them.

Thanks for you reviews, this is exactly what we need. Glad to hear that the one dirty house didn%26#39;t spoil your trip. Too bad you had to clean on your vacation.

Also, I think it is important to note that one particular Vacation Rental business wasn%26#39;t to blame. I think the people the businesses hire differ, therefore, so can the vacation rentals. I am sure that there are some run down, used, gross, beautiful, lush, spotless, and PERFECT rentals out there. So let%26#39;s hear it.

Safe travels.

Has anyone stayed in a beach front home called ';She%26#39;s a Brick House?';

We have it booked for mid June and I%26#39;m hoping it is as good in person as it looks in the pictures!

Review of:

Coldwell Banker Rental North Topsail Beach

Island Drive 3744

Ocean front single family rental

This is the best rental home we have ever rented! Don%26#39;t hesitate for a minute. It was so spacious. There%26#39;s a large cemented garage (not just a carport under the house)to store chairs, boogie boards, etc. From the garage you can enter the lowest level and you will find a little room we didn%26#39;t even use, but could easily serve to sleep a kid or two! The living area was open and inviting. I could cook at the island range in the kitchen and not miss any fun in the living room. The master bedroom is fantastic with views of both the ocean and the inter coastal waterway. My daughter, husband and two small children claimed this room and it was more than enough room for all of them. The little pier across the street is perfect for crabbing. This is a quality home, and very reasonably priced. We missed getting it this year due to a change in plans and it was already booked by the time we finalized our vacation date. You won%26#39;t be disappointed with this rental.
