Rodanthe resturant suggestions in and around area?

Hi-I am looking for advice on resturants in or around Rodanthe for an upcoming vacation.

Rodanthe resturant suggestions in and around area?

Go to the North Carolina Forum....not Rodanthe...and type in the box on top of the posts beside the box with the words North Carolina....just the word Rodanthe. And click go and you%26#39;ll get a lot of info on Rodanthe, including restaurants mentioned in posts not even originally about restaurants. These you%26#39;ll notice are on other Outer Banks or North Carolina forums so they wouldn%26#39;t come up on Rodanthes.

Also on the Rodanthe forum page look to the upper left under the main Search box and you%26#39;ll see the word ';Rodanthe'; in a green bar and below it ';Rodanthe Overview';. Click that and page down less than halfway for the Inside Page. I think the only one with a review is the Dining Scene. It gives a few restaurants, too.

Have a great time!

You will not get many replies because there aren%26#39;t many restaurants in Rodanthe, maybe 2 or 3. We usually cook in the cottage most of the week for lack of places to go.

Lisa%26#39;s Pizza isn%26#39;t bad and they deliver.

There%26#39;s a restaurant in Waves, across from Outer Beaches Realty, that is very nice but pricey. The name eludes me at the moment.

There was a new restaurant under construction while we were there in June.

Rodanthe is close to the Village of Avon and not too far to drive up to Whalebone Junction for dinner. You%26#39;ll find plenty of restaurants and great seafood! Be sure to ask your Rental Agency they know the latest on the restaurants and enjoy sharing info. Also if you are in a cottage there will more than likely be a guest log with LOTS of opinions. Enjoy

I am going to try to revive this forum question as it appears to be dated! We are traveling there in Sept 2009 with a toddler - will eat mostly in the rental - but, would love to order in a few nights and potentially eat out once or twice at a kid friendly joint preferrably with fresh seafood! Suggestions!?

Do not eat at Dirty Dicks in Avon. It was disgusting. You sit at wooden picnic tables and it was not clean at all. The food was overpriced and not very well prepared. We have been going to obx yearly for 6 years and in my opinion, there are more dining options in the Nags Head area (we are also going to Rodanthe in August). If you take a day trip up north, Awful Arthurs in Kill Devil Hills is good....excellent crab cakes. There is also a sports bar in Nags Head that makes good food and a nice atmosphere even for little ones (our son was 2 last year). Outer Banks Steakhouse was one of our favorites but not sure if they are still there...the last 2 years we stayed further south. In avon, there is a little cafe type restaurant in the Food lion plaza (can%26#39;t remember the name) but they make excellent food and very reasonably priced. In rodanthe, Lisa%26#39;s pizza is good. I%26#39;ve heard that the Dolphin Den is good but we have not eaten there. Mostly, we go buy our seafood and cook it at the rental (yum). Hope this helps. Have fun.
