Nice Restaurant in downtown (uptown?) Charlotte?

We are staying 1 night in Charlotte for a layover and would like to experience a nice dinner downtown. We are open to all suggestions, seafood, etc. Just looking for something with a nice atmosphere.

Thanks

I am not sure how ';nice'; of a dinner you are looking for but Bentley%26#39;s, Barrington%26#39;s, and Blue are all popular.

Bentley%26#39;s

Barrington%26#39;s Restaurant

Blue

There are also chains like The Capital Grille, Ruth%26#39;s Chris, and Flemings downtown. The Capital Grille is a safe choice. It%26#39;s always great.

Good luck! Please let us know where you end up going and if you enjoyed it!

Hi Carebare,

Ratcliffe on the Green is always at the top of my list for dining Uptown: www.ratcliffeonthegreen.com/overview.html

Ratcliffe recently adjusted their prices to accommodate those of us who have cut down on spending. Their food is excellent, and the restaurant has lots of character.

I鈥檓 also a big fan of Arpa for tapas (they have excellent desserts): www.harpersrestaurants.com/arpaTapas.html

Sonoma never disappoints either: http://www.sonomarestaurants.net/home.htm

And I know this is just outside of Uptown, but my all-time favorite restaurant in Charlotte is the Fig Tree: http://www.charlottefigtree.com/

It鈥檚 in an old house, lots of character, fabulous service and great food!

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy your time in the QC!

I really enjoyed La Vecchia last time I was in toen, I had a great sea bass and some really good mussels.

Blue is an excellent choice. Great food, service, and atmosphere. La Vecchia%26#39;s is also very good.
