OK...help me with my itinerary for next week.
How much time can I realistically expect to spend at each of these places? My kids are 16 and 11. Obviously we aren%26#39;t going to do them all on one day...but spread them out through the week. But I do want to plan full days while still leaving some beach time.
Festival Park
Aquarium
Elizabethan Gardens
Creef Boathouse
Wright Bros. Museum
Sea Gypsy Pirates (Is it even worth it? The 11 yr. old only)
Currituck Lighthouse and Village
Thanks.
Time Management
Festival Park
Aquarium
Elizabethan Gardens
Wright Bros. Museum
I would give them about 2 hrs minimum each
Currituck Lighthouse and Village
I wold say depending on how much you see in village but
I%26#39;m guessing 3 hrs or more
Never did the other thing you mentioned.
Festival Park
Aquarium
Elizabethan Gardens
are all close by each other so it would be possible to do all three if you don%26#39;t linger too long and
break up you day with lunch
We usually hit the beach in the mornings then do these type of things during mid day my child and wife are red heads so the mid day sun will burn even with sun screen.
If you eliminate any of you plans I would defiantly do Festival Park and Aquarium.Elizabethan Gardens are beautiful in the summer and you can see the fort next door too on the same property.
Time Management
Festival Park - 1 hr
Aquarium - 2 hr to 3
Elizabethan Gardens - boring for kids
Creef Boathouse - this and the Manteo waterfront can use up an hour or 2 but kids don%26#39;t like shopping and that is what is on the Manteo Waterfront.
Wright Bros. Museum - 1 hr to 3 depending how much they like to see
Currituck Lighthouse and Village- 2 hrs
no idea on the others
Just a thought...I guess you know about figuring in traffic and time to and from. All these places are wonderful and lots to do in between if you want to stop for food, Jockey%26#39;s Ridge, kites, a movie etc etc, an item you might need...pick up food, more lotion..so even those times it%26#39;s further, it%26#39;s not necessarily dedication to the destination.
