We booked a house in Hatteras the first week of June. Just curious to know if the pool will be warm enough for swimming without the heater. Having the pool heated is a bit too expensive.
Pool - first week of June
It most likely will be pretty cool, having not had a lot of warm sunny days to warm it up yet but it probably won%26#39;t be unbearable. Kids most likely won%26#39;t care as much and can usually tolerate colder water better than us adults.
Pool - first week of June
It also really depends on where the pool is on the lot. If it gets a lot of afternoon sun you might be ok. It%26#39;s been chilly the last week with few days over 65°. If the pool is on the south side or west side of the house you will get more sun assuming nothing blocks it. Most rental companies can turn the heat on a few day before your visit so you can wait a while to decide and watch the weather.
Yes, it will be warm enough. Have been swimming in outdoor pool for a few days now.
Hi,
We were in OBX the first week of June last year, and the pool was definitely too cold. However, as a previous poster noted the location of the pool on the lot is important - where we stayed the pool only got sun in the AM, and was in the shade in the PM when we wanted to use it.
We are going down a week earlier this year, and went for the heated pool this time.
Tarkle was here for a warm week. This week has rained 3 days and the temps dropped to 55 deg and the winds are blowing at 20 mph ---- In other words, the weather changed and pools are C O L D. It just depends on Momma Nature.
