Go Blue Ridge Card (for Dummies!)

I%26#39;m looking for the easiest explaination on how this card works. I%26#39;ve been on the website and talked to someone briefly on the phone about it but hung up still dumbfounded. Can anyone explain to me exactly how this card works please? I%26#39;m visiting most of the attractions included with this card so it looks like a good deal, but I still don%26#39;t understand the differences in the 2,3, or 5 day passes. Help? Thanks

Go Blue Ridge Card (for Dummies!)

I%26#39;ve lived in NC all my life and never heard of this card. Can you give us a website link or more info where to find out about it? Is it something being marketed to out of state people?

Go Blue Ridge Card (for Dummies!)

Oh OK- I found the site - http://www.goblueridgecard.com/index.html

It looks like a combo card for many attractions in Western NC. The 2,3,5, days means you have to use it within that time frame to see the attractions - that%26#39;s how it looked to me. Looks interesting if you are vacationing in the Blue Ridge. Best wishes.

Oops- wrong ( wish you could edit posts!). Those 2,3,5 days are itineraries you buy. You pick the one that has the attractions you like in the package. The ';days'; are what they say is the length you need to do the stuff. You have two weeks to use the features you bought.

Hi -

I am the Director of the Go Blue Ridge Card and would be happy to explain how the card works.

The Go Blue Card is an attraction pass that provides you with access to over 30 of the best attractions along the Parkway in the Western North Carolina area. You can check out the full list of attractions online at goblueridgecard.com/blue-ridge-attractions.h鈥?/a>

You pay one low price for the pass and then present the pass at any of the included attractions for entry. You do not have to pay to enter the attraction since you already have the Go Blue Ridge Card - so no cash ever exchanges hands.

Once you determine how long you will be in the area, you decide how many days you plan to sightsee for (i.e. visit attractions). The Go Blue Ridge Card comes in 2, 3, or 5-day varieties. The days do not need to be used consecutively - you have two weeks in which to use the ';days'; on your pass. (So you could go to Biltmore on Monday, take a day to relax, visit the Cherokee sites on Wednesday, and then visit the High Country attractions over the weekend. It%26#39;s super flexible!

The itineraries posted online at www.goblueridgecard.com/itineraries.html are examples of how OTHERS have saved money with the pass, but YOU ARE NOT BOUND to these itineraries. Create your own fun and let me know what you do!

The pass is perfect for families or travelers on a budget. Because you pay one low price for the pass, you save money versus just buying tickets directly at the gate. And saving money is going to be TOP on everyone%26#39;s list this summer.

It also comes with a free full-color guidebook to the area with maps and insider information.

Happy travels!

The Go Card website says you have to use the card on consecutive days. So if I have a three day card it is only good for three days in a row when I start using it. Is that correct or has there been a change in policy? And if the policy has been changed why does the website say this?

Kim

Thank you for calling this to my attention! We have just updated the look of the website this week and are working out some kinks.

To clarify, the card is valid for NON-CONSECUTIVE days. So if you buy a 3-day card, you can use it for any 3 days over a two week period. I am updating the website right now. In fact, by the time you read this, it will have likely been updated.

If you have any other questions or need advice on where to visit, I am happy to help. Enjoy North Carolina!

Best,
