Rental on beach in South Nags Head?

My sister and I and our families (four adults, five kids) are looking to rent a place on the beach the second week in August (Aug. 8-15, flex on arrival day), ideally with a hot tub, but not a must. We%26#39;ve looked at the usual rental places (sun, joe lamb, etc.), but thought I%26#39;d give a shout out to see if anyone has any other great thoughts or ideas. We%26#39;d heard South Nags Head wasn%26#39;t too far of a drive down the coast(we%26#39;re driving from Chicago) but a little quieter, and that general area seems less expensive than Duck. Any help? Thanks!

Rental on beach in South Nags Head?

SNH is a quiet area with lots less congestion than Duck and no commercial anything except a pier. There are bike paths and a road that has little thru traffic so it is a nice quiet area. Many people just love it because of the low traffic and less commercial while still being only 5 miles fro Nags Head and all it has to offer. Go for it, you will love it there.

I%26#39;m heading there this week as it is a perfect location, central to everything. I rented from Sun for this trip, but in the past I have used VRBO.com (vacation rentals by owner) for vacations in other areas and have always had great experiences. You may want to look there.
