Pediatrician

One of our children has come down with a sore throat. We are hoping she will be better by the time we leave for the OBX early Sunday morning.

In the event that we need to see a doctor, I am not a fan of ER%26#39;s. Does anyone have or know of a good Pediatrician in the Duck area or closeby?

Get thee to a doc tomorrow. That%26#39;ll solve the question and make everyone happier in travels. You know that%26#39;s the first symptom of what%26#39;s going around lately, right?

There are only two local docs that I know of and they%26#39;re offices are both located in Manteo.

Dr. Johnny Farrow (Island Medical Center) and Dr. Walter Holton (Dare Medical Associates).

Thanks! :) I just want to have an idea of where to go in the event we need a doctor. I hate hospitals and ER%26#39;s. Id rather see a private physician.

We did take her in on Thursday. She had a full check over. Strep was negative.

Her fever broke last night but she still has a sore throat. Although she ate alot from dinnertime on last night. She hadn%26#39;t eaten anything all day on Thursday.

So we aren%26#39;t going to leave until Sunday (tomorrow) morning just to give her that extra time to recover.

From Duck you have some choices, but all require you to travel south.

Regional Medical at mp 2 in Kitty Hawk is an option. It has a walk-in emergency service something like an ER.

Healtheast - 4810 Croatan (the bypass) Nags Head 252-441-3177 - this is a ';doc in the box'; place and is very nice across from the OBX hospital.
