How far away is Lowes Motorspeedway from Mooresville? I am planning a guys trip for my husband and his adult nephew to do the Richard Petty Driving experience (my husband did this at Disney and Lowes is the next track he wants to drive on). We have stayed in Mooresville before, so it would probably be better to stay in a area he knows some and close the the race shops.
Is it too far to stay in Mooresville? Is there a better place to stay for this type of trip?
He would be flying into Charlotte then driving up to Mooresville.

It%26#39;s a bit far - perhaps 45 minutes if you take back roads (highway 3 or 73). A bit longer by taking major roads, it%26#39;ll be a bit faster speed limit, but the time shouldn%26#39;t be much different - perhaps five minutes or so.
If the trip is for the experience, stay near Lowe%26#39;s - there are hotels aplenty there, it%26#39;s a lot closer, and there%26#39;s much less driving. Though if he (and buddies) are going to visit the shops, Mooresville may be a better choice. It just depends where most of the time will be spent.
Of course, this all depends on when it happens. If it%26#39;s during races, then there might not be any vacancy in the area!
