Corolla Light - worth it with little kids in late August?

Corolla Light seems like a great little community to stay at for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We%26#39;re 25, with a 26 month old and 12 wk old. Both sets of grandparents in their early 50s will be coming along as well. We%26#39;ll be vacationing the last weekend in August, once most kids are back in school.

So is it worth it for us to pay the extra to stay at Corolla Light? Is there any activities even going on during this time? Any activities geared towards kids as young as 2?

I feel like if it%26#39;s just for the stuff like play grounds and having a trolly to the beach, we might find a condo elsewhere for a little cheaper and find a playground when were out and about. Thanks for any help!

Hi live4. There%26#39;s lots to do at Corolla Light during this time of year. If you haven%26#39;t looked at their website, click around in here...

I suppose it all depends on what the adults have in mind for their vacation, since a 2 year old may be pretty content to play in the sand, if they like being on the beach. There is a very nice sports center which offers lots of different classes, like yoga and exercise. Great for rainy days! You%26#39;ll have nice walking or biking trails, tennis, outdoor and indoor pools and organized games. We enjoyed their bingo nights!

It%26#39;s really up to you as to whether any of these sound like something you would enjoy and feel would be worth your money. Just sitting on the beach all day may get a bit boring!
