Cranmore cottages

Has anyone ever stayed at these cottages? We are going to stay at the Daisy cottage in May next year. First we were going to stay in Gatlinburg but we think it probably is too crowded for us there.

If you are planning to visit Gatlinburg, the best location to stay is right in town. That way, you can walk to all the attractions, or ride the trolley, and not have to worry about parking.

My husband and I stayed in Laurel Inn Condos last year. They have working fireplaces and hot tubs, and are situated up on a hill, which means you have great views of the city but are also within walking distance of everything.

We also stayed in Rodeway Inn last year. We asked for the corner room with the hot tub, and it was nice as well, with a fabulous view.

We prefer to stay away from crowds, and have never found Gatlinburg to be too crowded for our liking. Whatever you decide, enjoy your vacation to the States!

These cottages are in Zirconia - a few miles south of Hendersonville. I have not stayed in them but if you are looking for a rural, quiet area you might like it. You will have to drive a few miles to get to dining, shopping, etc..... Best wishes.

Did you ever end up staying at the Daisy cottage? We%26#39;re looking at that for this summer - 2007?

Thanks,

LMarie

We%26#39;ve booked a cottage for late October...just wondered if you stayed there and what you thought of it.

Yes, we did end up staying in Daisy this past summer. Flat Rock/Hendersonvill was a beautiful area. A little out of the way for visiting the National Park and attractions up that way, but we%26#39;d probably do it again. Daisy was nice. Cute decor. The fridge/freezer was not working right when we were there, but they bought a new one right away and it was installed before the next guests got there. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Any restaurant recommendations in the area? Is

Hendersonville/Main Street within walking distance? Is it quiet around the cottages at night? Thanks for the info.

I will be staying in one of the Cranmore Cottages (The Treehouse) in March. Does anyone have tips of restaurants in the area? A day spa? Thanks!

The best day spa in the region is in Brevard - Elements. We%26#39;re spa goers - been to many from the Atlantic to the Pacific ( LOL) - this is one of the best day spas we%26#39;ve been to.

There%26#39;s a new spa at Highland Lake. I toured it before it opened and it looked nice but I%26#39;ve not had occasion to go up and try the treatments.

I recommend Poplar Lodge in Hendersonville for dining.

Best wishes.

Thanks so much! I, too, am a big spa connoisseur, so I appreciate the opinion of one who has visited many coast to coast. Will definitely try this one out.
