Need some answers on this one.......

Hey guys i posted this question before but no one seemed to respond so im trying again.....we will be traveling to Rodanthe in approx. 2weeks from PA and was wondering if it is better to pick our beer up before we get on the island or if there is somewhere on the island to get beer also. Also, if anyone could tell me of a good beer distributor before we go over to Rodanthe that would be great.

Grocery stores sell beer. Yes, we have beer here, buy it where ever you want. You are not going to buy it from a distributor, just go in a Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and grocery, 7-11, Brew-thru, and many gas stations. You will have no problem.

Like the above poster stated - you%26#39;ll have no problem finding beer in Rodanthe. It%26#39;s available in every grocery store and gas station. Rodanthe isn%26#39;t all that isolated has say Ocracoke.

Your second question a beer distributor? I think maybe in PA you%26#39;re req%26#39;d to buy from a distributor? Not so in NC, where a distributor is just a wholesaler who has licensing rights to specific beers which it then sells to the various retailers (Brew-Thrus, bars, grocers and gas stations). If you do actually need a distributor - then there%26#39;s only one located on OBX itself...it%26#39;s an Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) distributor and it%26#39;s located in Manteo. The other big beer distributor is Coastal Beverage and they%26#39;re located in Elizabeth City.

One thing I forgot to mention:

If you%26#39;ll be looking for micro-brews, regional beers or specialty beers than your best bet is to stop at Milepost 6 at ';Chip%26#39;s Wine %26amp; Beer'; on your way south to Rodanthe. They%26#39;ve got an impressive selection and great customer service.

Also, consider a stop before the bridge at ';The Weeping Radish Brewery'; which makes local beer. They have an Olsch which is a good warm weather beer.

Unless your looking for Iron city you should find all the popular beers here there is a good local beer here too called Weeping Radish, a Bavarian beer.

They have brew threw here too you drive threw store where you can get beer soda and snacks with out getting out of your ride be good though they have very strict open container laws here to
