Boone Weddings -Fall

My son and future daughter in law will be getting married next fall - October - in Boone. They are both ASU graduates. We have the site for the wedding, but I am interested in a site for the rehersal dinner. The GameKeeper Lodge has been suggested. I also would like to give small favors during the wedding - perhaps a small jar of local honey. Can anyone suggest a local supplier? Any other suggestions for a mid October wedding in Boone? Fortunately it is NOT a home ASU football weekend.

IN the same category, we love Twigs, The Best Cellar, Bistro Roca ( on the back Porch). Not the greatest food, but Ciao Bello at Meadowbrook does have a private room that could be used. The other choices, would have their spots, but you would need to talk to them.

As far a honey, in summer time, you can actually buy it along the roadside. Their are stands. Mother Nature%26#39;s has it in Boone, Mast General Stores has it. All local or North Carolina honey. Any NC farmers market also. The market in Charlotte is awesome. There are several local markets in the area that offer the honey and jams and jellies.

I suggest you look into The Inn at Crestwood, which is almost across the road from The Gamekeeper, or Westglow Spa which is about 3 mi. S. of Blowing Rock. These both have excellent restaurants and much prettier settings. They would likely be more expensive but may be worth the difference. If you do go by Mother Nature%26#39;s be sure to take home a couple of loaves of their cinnamon bread. It makes the best toast in the world.

Our son too is a App grad.

I would go look at Westglo..it is spectacular. Good website with pictures.

Fall is apple time in Boone so something apple-y would be good too!
