We are staying in Duck for a week late June first part of July. My husband wants to take our 12 year old son and his friend got golfing one day. Both boys have been playing since they were 5 or 6. Need a recommendation for course that welcomes younger golfers. On past vacations, we have had difficulty finding family-friendly courses.

I don%26#39;t think your husband will have a problem anywhere. My recommendations are The Pointe and The Carolina Club - both on the mainland across the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. They are the most reasonably priced courses around and both are usually in excellent shape.

The Currituck Club is the most beautiful of all the courses on the OBX. It%26#39;s in Corolla just north of Duck. It%26#39;s not inexpensive but they do have Junior rates. What a wonderful experience for your son and his friend. Time with Dad - the best gift of all.
