Acorn cottage or Oakland cottage???

Hi I am staying in Asheville for 4 nights at the end of May and am looking for somewhere to stay around or under $100 a night. Has anyone stayed at either of these b%26amp;b%26#39;s or can recommend somewhere in or around the vicinity? It is worth it to pay more so that we can walk downtown or should we spend less and drive everywhere? I would appreciate any info.

Thanks,

Jamie

I am not familiar with either of these places so I can%26#39;t say. Depending on what you want to do when you are in Asheville you will end up driving anyway. There are a lot of fun and neat things to see and do in downtown Asheville, but there is much more that you may need a car for a short trip to see other area attractions like Biltmore House, Biltmore Village, the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Yes, I figured its best to stay at a hotel for about 80 a night since we%26#39;ll only be there at night and driving around is not a problem.

Can you suggest any updated cheap hotels? I hate those cheap musty, outdated bedspread type hotel rooms, but I dont see the need to spend 120 a night just to be in the room at night to go to sleep.

Thanks
